rokcore

Product Description

Rokcore is a high quality non-combustible structural composite sandwich panel manufactured using premium Paroc technology. It is composed of a structural rock wool core bonded to coated steel sheet facings. The rock wool fibres in the core are densely packed and uniformly aligned to achieve controlled strength properties. Because Rokcore is manufactured locally in our region, we can now provide this premium panel economically and with reduced delivery lead times.

Rokcore provides a good looking, high quality and low maintenance façade which can meet the new Building Code of Australia’s energy efficiency provisions in a single building lining.

Rokcore can be used across a number of commercial, industrial and residential markets, including five star commercial buildings, shopping centres, warehouses, sport centres, public buildings, industrial and multi residential applications.

The major advantages of Rokcore are its fire resistance and its structural spanning ability. For the end user this means a cost effective and quick to install cladding that gives excellent fire protection to the building.

With a non-combustible structural rock wool core, the Rokcore panels have been fire-tested and BRANZ appraised to deliver Fire Resistance Levels (FRL’s) from -/30/30 to -/240/240.  Spans from 2m through to 12m can be achieved depending on the thickness, design wind load and temperature gradient across panel thickness.

Similarly thermal resistance R-values for the panel of up to R5.5 (m2K/W) can be achieved.  For further details refer to the technical section.

Rokcore panel comes in a variety of thicknesses from 50mm to 240mm to meet various thermal and fire specifications. Panel width is generally 1000mm but this can be varied to suit the project. Panel lengths are made to order with a maximum limit of approximately 12m.

Core Material

There are 4 types of structural rock wool core material depending on the panel usage. These are described as 50C, 50F, and 75F where 50 or 75 represent the shear strength of the core and C and F represent the fire properties of the core. In simple terms 75 core rock wools are used in panels where higher structural strengths are required to meet panel loading. F rated rock wool core is used for enhanced fire resisting properties.  The standard core type is 75F
