Rokcore panels can exhibit Fire Resistance Levels (FRL’s) of between -/30/30 (30 minutes) and -/240/240 (4 hours). This can be depending on the panel thickness and the type of rock wool core material. For example a wall with a -/90/90 FRL (1½ hours) can be typically achieved with an 80mm Rokcore panel with a 50F/75F core, depending on span.

In addition to fire resistance,  Rokcore panels fall into Group 1 of the Classification of Fire Wall and Ceiling Materials of the Building Code of Australia as they have a Smoke Growth Rate Index (SMOGRA) of less than 100m2/s. FM Global Class 1 certification is pending.

The fire wall system is ideal for both external walling and internal partitioning. For ceiling applications, Fire Resistance Levels of up to one and half hours are available.

Internal fire wall systems utilise a specially designed fixing angle at the top of the wall which allows movement yet maintains a fire seal during the course of a fire.

Rokcore fire walling systems are suitable for use across commercial and industrial markets including shopping centres; warehouses; external fire walls to units and commercial premises; boundary walls; internal fire walls and ceilings and for providing fire protection to rooms holding dangerous goods or valuable pieces of equipment.
